Seats were great, and my wife (whose belated 60-the birthday present this was) was ecstatic about seeing some of the players staying in the same hotel; she even got to chat to Botic van der Zandschulp – a fellow Dutchman. She never expected that also before and after the matches, you could get so close to the stars – she collected autographs of Medvedev and Djokovic on one of the first days so after that her trip couldn’t go wrong anymore. All that leaves me to do now is build a small shrine for her memorabilia…
